TQ Series Coil-Overs for Corvette 1963–1979 deliver top-tier handling characteristics, developed specifically for C2 and C3 Corvettes. The system features adjustable rebound damping and dual-stage compression damping, enabling precise chassis fine-tuning for both street and track use.
Advanced damping with external reservoirs
External oil reservoirs ensure stable oil temperature under all driving conditions and provide easy access to compression adjustment. The TQ series ("Track Quality") offers:
- Adjustable rebound damping
- Dual-stage compression damping
- Separate high- and low-speed adjustment
High-speed and low-speed adjustment
The high-speed adjustment makes it possible to optimize damping during rapid piston rod movements that occur with sudden changes in suspension load – for example during quick direction changes in autocross or intense track driving. This setting also helps control severe impacts in street driving, such as potholes, speed bumps, and other irregularities in the road surface.
The low-speed adjustment is used to fine-tune ride comfort, grip level, and the car's overall behavior in corners, both on the track and on winding country roads. The result is a Corvette with significantly improved stability, steering precision, and control.
Engineered for extreme performance and long service life
With a large piston (1.834 inches), a robust piston rod (5/8 inch), and shock bodies manufactured using impact forging, the TQ series coil-overs are designed for maximum performance, high durability, and consistent damping. The products are covered by a unique 1,000,001-mile warranty.
Ridetech determines shock settings and spring rates through extensive test driving across the country – both at its own test facility and in competition from coast to coast. The fastest modified C3 Corvettes use Ridetech coil-overs, and the same technology and experience form the basis of this system.
