The rear axle has now been dismantled and it went very smoothly with the bolts that had been in place for quite a long time. I lubricated everything with 5-56 the day before and let it all soak in a bit before loosening the bolts. That probably helped avoid having to use too much force. The differential won’t be taken apart since everything feels fine, so it will just get a bit of cleaning and fresh paint before reassembly starts with the Ridetech parts.
